Welcome to IF Metal Workers Union Volvo, Gothenburg, Sweden.
The IF Metal Workers Union Volvo organises the blue-collar workers within the
different Volvo companies in Gothenburg. In total the union organises approx.
7.000 members, which is an organisation level of approx. 97%. Our members
are employed at Volvo Car Corporation and AB Volvo.
The IF Metal Workers’ board is elected for a two-year mandate and our deputies
for a one-year mandate.

The Union’s information
channels are the newspaper “Fördelaren”, which is published 11 times
each year, and the homepage, which also functions as information “notice
board” for the members.
The work of the board is divided into different areas, with the responsibility being assigned to the board members.

In order to reach the goals, the IF Metal Union Volvo has 25 local units with local
representatives and Health & Safety Officers reporting to the IF Metal Workers
Union Volvo board.
